360 degree turbine oil seal
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. http://www.saabperformanceparts.com/item244.htm
I have a t3-t04e that was smoking. I sent it to blaast for a rebuild, got it back and it still smokes. I pulled it apart and everything on the turbine side is covered in burned oil. The turbo has around 6,000 miles on it since i bought it new and only ran it less than 100 miles after the "rebuild". There isn't excessive shaft play and I am running an oil restrictor from atp. I have another t3 that im running now and have no smoking issues. I was wondering if the 360 degree seal would solve my problem.

Re: (TheShodan)
I know it isn't possible to diagnose something over the internet, but i am puzzled as to why i've had such an issue with this turbo. I've never had any drain issues, always cooled it before shutting it off, i have proper crankcase ventilation and I have another t3 on my car and have no issues, so i cant blame my engine and set up. I've ran synthetic and conventional oil with it and have had the same results. I just dont want to keep dumping money into a turbo that shouldn't even need to have been rebuilt yet.
thanks

Re: 360 degree turbine oil seal (jtracing919)
who makes the turbo? Is it a name brand, garrett, precision, turbonetics?
if it's a name brand, send it back to the manufacturer and get it rebuilt by them.
If it's a no-name ebay type turbo, that alone could be the problem.
