engine light
heres the problem. when i start my car i dont have a engine light that pops up. after i drive for a while, and i let off of the gas the light pops on. i got a 1992 civic hatch with a d16y7 with a ex wiring harness. this problem didn't start happening til i put on the harness. I was wondering if it was cuz of the harness, or do i have something wrong with my motor. any help will be nice. if there is anyone in the area of tacoma that can fix it and make some money let me know.
you need to check the code and find out why you have that light. Look down on the passenger side floor board where your ecu is. There should be a gray (sometimes blue) 2 pin connector. With the key out of the ignition, take a piece of wire and bridge that connection. then put the key in the ignition and turn to the 2nd click. Your check engine light on the dash will start flashing after a few secs. long flashes are 10's and short flashes are 1's. Long pauses seperate codes. Let us know what the code is, and we can help.

check to see which code it is throwing. but let me get this straight, you put a vtec wiring harness on a not vtec engine. I would be willing to bet that it is thrwoing a code because it is not hooked up to vtec and since it isn't hooked up, it is gonna think something is wrong. which ecu are you running? someone correct me if I am wrong, I don't wanna spread around misinformation
