Default hydraulic vs cable transmission

what's the difference between the 2? and if i boost on a b16, what should i get.

Pre-1992 are cable. Post-1992 are hydraulic. Depending on the year of your vehicle is whether or not you'll need hydraulic or cable.

driving a 94 del sol... planning to do an b16a engine swap... sir 1 / 2 have different transmission. what's the difference?

i believe sir1 is a b16a which is a cable transmission the second gen b16 is with a hydraulic tranny if you have a 94 del sol then i think its a hydro tranny you need

no man not without spending unnecessary money. Your car needs b16a2 which comes with hydro traning which you need

Yeah, and you live in Cali, so you HAVE to put an engine in your car this is of the same year or newer. Anything else and your breakin the law big time. And you don't wanna **** with that law.

oh yeah not to be a dick but why do have so many posts but you dont know the difference between cable and hydro trannys and yet that would involve looking under the hood.

i have a d15b7 right now in my del sol. i know the difference, i just don't know if it will go into the del sol without problems. alot of my questions i ask are not in the searches when i look recent/archived. i'm a post ***** that's why

Cable sucks ***. Only good thing is its ok at changing the feel of the clutch but then the cable is being scretched. piece of ****.

You want hydro because its easier and less hassle to put in your car. If you boost go hydro.

dude it the difference of $600, and the dirrference is you get the parts you need to do it correctly,and the difference of you getting a newer part with less miles.. you car has a hydraulic trans now so sell you current motor after the sawp and get some of your money back and do it right...
