broken tb gasket need some help

ok i took my tb out to clean it and the gasket cracked and broke off when i took it off. i though i could just put it on and it would be alright. with just half the gasket on. and when i turn my car on the idle surges from 1000 to 3000 do you think that little piece of gasket could cause a vacum leak big enough for it to idle like that? thanks for the help in advance

yes....it will cause that big of a vacuum leak. You have to get a new one.

. Just get some gasket paper and make one, it's easy!

Yes its much cheaper than buying one from Honda and all you need is the old gasket for a template and a sharp razor.
