Default Gasket Maker

well i have to replace my IACV (AGAIN!) and i have some gasket maker my buddy gave me. will i be okay to use this stuff to cut out a throttle body gasket? will it work okay? any type of sealant i should use with the gasket maker to make it seal better? my local honda has to order the gasket and it will take a couple days to come in. well i dont want to wait a couple days to replace the gasket because i want to get rid of my infamous honda idle now.
