Default 02 sensor cel still oN!?

Hello,

My project today is wiring in a new o2 sensor in my cat because the old one went bad. Well, I wired it up, I think it went right, put it in, and am still getting a cel after I start it up. I disconnected the battery just now to see if that helps, leave it for 20 minutes or so and try again? Here is how I wired it:

WIres up at connection go like this:
12
34

1- green
2- white
3-black
4- black

and then on my bosch universal sensor they go like this:
12
34

1- gray
2- white
3-white
4-black

So I wired it like the following:
grey-green
white2-black4
white3-black3
black-white.

This is how the instructions show and this is how I did it. What a pain in the ***! Help is appreciated.

I think it was 1, at least when I did the cel check by jumpering the deal under the dash, it blinked once, short.

Also, I know this has t obe the 2ndary sensor because I just drove for like 5 months with a test pipe, and then took it off, so my o2 sensor was screwed becasue it got knocked on the ground hard as hell. This is so frusterating, maybe I should have just saved for the plug and play kind.

so it's obd2? the 2nd sensor needs to read a 100 degree difference between the 2. When you put a test pipe in, you changed the way your exhaust flows (it flows faster now). So, you need to move the 2nd o2 farther back in the exhaust so it will read the correct temp difference. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Why didn't you get a Denso OEM replacement? $75 from http://www.sparkplugs.com and it's plug and play.

I have seen a lot of people have problems with the simulators. Especially on obd2 cars.
