b20vtec vs. lsvtec
i have an ef and i have a b16a1 in it right now. i want it to be a freeway runner and fast on 1/4 mile. it is also my dailly driver. wut do u guys think i should go with? is lsvtec more reliable than b20vtec?

I have a crv-tec in my 88hb and before the tranny went out I drove it about 100 miles a day ( long drive to work ) and still out ran v8 cars at the drag strip. thats my .02

nah i wouldn't worry too much about revving....i take my b20vtec to 9000 everytime i race....which is a lot...the bottom end is stock....i know people will say im an idiot but nothing has happened to it YET *knocks on wood*.....its up to you if you want to chance it thats all.....but the vtec blocks do rev a lot higher and better

Explain to me why an ls/vtec is better then a b20/vtec ?

If you added pistons, rods, and bigger rod bolts then yes there very very reliable.
Explain to me why an ls/vtec is better then a b20/vtec ?

They will both be reliable if built properly. You want a good freeway and 1/4 mi car? Your best bet would be a B16 tranny with an LS 5th gear, with whichever motor you decide to build.
