ls/vtec..... sounds like you will be doing lots of revving which is better for the ls than the b20...

nah i wouldn't worry too much about revving....i take my b20vtec to 9000 everytime i race....which is a lot...the bottom end is stock....i know people will say im an idiot but nothing has happened to it YET *knocks on wood*.....its up to you if you want to chance it thats all.....but the vtec blocks do rev a lot higher and better

i have lsv and it is considerable fast, b20v will just give u more torque, if thats what u want then b20, but lsv better then b20vtec,

Explain to me why an ls/vtec is better then a b20/vtec ?

If you added pistons, rods, and bigger rod bolts then yes there very very reliable.

They will both be reliable if built properly. You want a good freeway and 1/4 mi car? Your best bet would be a B16 tranny with an LS 5th gear, with whichever motor you decide to build.
