Default chipped p28 installed, now having idle problems anyone?

just installed my new ecu into my car today. it's a p28 with a basic chip. the motor is completely stock. it idles at 1000 rpms and jumps back and forth to 1500 rpm constantly. also it throws a #21 check light too. and when driving, if the rpms go higher than 5500, the needle just drops down to 0 and the motor keeps on going. so many problems, can anyone help?

your car is stock so that chip is not suitable for your application.

I agree. An ECU upgrade should be done once the bolt-ons and internals(if desired) are done.
