i have a b18b1 turbo and recently built the motor. well after the build i started her up and i had no power after 3000 rpm. the car just dies. also when i shift, the car acts as if its not getting gas and hesitates. i know some of u had the same problem but i couldnt find it in search. so let me know how u fixed it. thanx.

 

sounds like distributor problems to me. check that

 

could be as simple as ignition timing set incorrectly. it's supposed to be 16 degrees before top dead center.

what do i check in the distributor? would my map or TPS sensor cause it to loose power too?

 

another guy on here just had a similar problem, turned out to be a clogged exhaust pipe... do a quick check for that.

i have an opened pipe actually
