Well I noticed lately that when ever I down shift and now giving it gas it kinda chugs backwards. I have no idea what could cause this except maybe something with the distributor. Any ideas?

 

You're going to need to specify exactly what you mean by "chugging backwards".

 

I think he might mean it bogs...

 

ya when it gets below 3k it guess fells like its bogging down. it like jerks you forward then backwards.

 

Check your ignition timing.

 

Also check the distributor cap, rotor and plugs/ wires. Honda's ignition systems are inherently weak...or at least they have been known to be weak on occasion. Give them a look!!!

A helms manual. It will give you step by step on how to check and replace any part on the car... like your ignitor or coil or other parts in the igntion that might go out.
