hey, i got a 92 cx converted to pre obd with a 1st gen b16a...I'm throwing code 3 (map sensor) and code 9 (cylinder sensor)... i have a new distro. coming, because the one that is on it looks ot be like a b17 one...kinda riggeed up.. my car is running like ****...it has a boucy idle from 600 down to maybe 150rpms it does it non stop.... also i belive vtec inst engaging...would the map sensor and distrobutor do this to my car!?

are you sure... i had vtec in my old gsr when i through a code for 02 sensor!?

im pretty sure if u have any cel vtec will not work
but i could be wrong it could be just certain ones

why did you down grade to obd0? sounds like you got a ghetto rigged set up. and im pretty sure if your getting a code for cylinder sensor your not gonna be able to use vtec. just my 2 cents.

 

haha i bought the car this way, im planning on running obd1 soon! too bad i sold my gsr ecu and harness before i got the car

 

what ecu is in it? did you check to see if the previous owner even hooked up the vtec sylonoid right? i hope you got a steal on this car.

 

it has a pr3 ecu, i got the vtec problem figured out, replaced map! but now, i got a new obd0 b16a distro. from distributorking.com and it wont fire up....i think it had a obdo teg distro in the first place...it will only run with the teg one, whats up with that??
