I prefer to use Pay Pal when paying/receiving, but COD when Pay Pal is not an option. I've done the M.O. (Money Order) thing a couple of times, but only when I know the other party is trustworthy. HTH.

I use COD and money order. I understand that some folks don't want to send a mo before getting their product which is understandable. If you are buying from someone from ebay, etc. that you haven't met then I would recommend COD. If someone doesn't want to sell you something using COD then you need to stay away from them. I think you'd read a lot less of the bad stories if people used COD versus paypal in these instances.
Paypal suckes!!! I won a digicam on a ubid auction and the seller was a verified user via their bank account through paypal. Well I never got anything and lost my 708.00 , I contacted paypal(4 times) and waited alittle over a month. So finally I did a charge back on my credit card and luckily they covered me. Then within 2 days I get a letter from paypal telling me I am now banned from them because I issued a charge back without waiting for them to resolve the issue and my credit card company is now going after them. The person who beat me ended up screwing 6 people total and paypal never froze their accuont. Paypal
I just sold some stuff via escrow and everything worked out well for the buyer and myself, he pays escrow and they wait till his payment is clear then email me and tell me to ship the parts, we agreed he had 1 week to inspect the parts(cylinder head), once he lookedeverything over (took him 1 day) he tells escrow to pay me. If he doesn't tell escrow to pay me and the week was up I get paid anyway because he voided the contract. It takes more time this way but i see it being the safest.

I've never lost money on any transactions, but I have had some long delays in getting stuff (but I did get everything).
I've done over 100 transactions on EBay (only 40-some rating because not everyone leaves feedback), both buying and selling, and everything goes well. Just do some research on a buyer/seller before you commit. Escrow is the safest (and most expensive), COD is next, then Paypal, then M.O.
