Ok well I got into an accident the other day. I was going east on a major road through my city (rt5&20 NY) when a lady decided to pull out of a Verizon store to go westbound. She stops directly in the middle of the road in both lanes (4lanes road). I swerve and almost miss her but I clipped her drivers side rear end with my drivers side front. I hit at approx 35-40mph. How bad do you experts think this frame is tweaked, and how much do you think would be a reasonable price to just pull the frame. I dont care if its gnarly looking under the hood really. Its not a show car hehe I drive this thing as much as possible. I have already ordered: New Fender, bumper, rad support, and gotten paint. I will be getting new headlights, corners, Hood, and wheel/tire as soon as I figure out the insurance settlements etc.

Same engine bay the very next day:

I cant see the frame rail in the pic but the damage looks mostly cosmetic. Bumper, hood, fender, lights and etc. But for the hastle it might just be easier to pick up a shell or a civic with a blown motor and swap everthing over. Thats what I did.

Thats the thing... up here in Ny its almost impossible to get a good clean shell...... the salt here kills cars, this civic has NEVER been in snow. The prior owner didnt drive it in the winter. Plus my friends Dad owns a Body shop and Ill get hooked up for the paint job etc. He cant pull frames though because he doesnt have the laser machine. Im gonna have that done somewhere else. But I just figured out everything and added it up altogether and it should cost me about $1500 + whatever the frame pull costs. Thats with a carbon hood etc.
Go to your friends dad and just have him fix it. If you go to the insurance they might say its totaled because of the year. It really sucks but just about anything that hits our cars now and days theyll call it totalled
But to my eyes nothing really looks like it needs to be pulled.

Thats a easy pull but for a price I am not a estimater so I couldnt tell you that.
I cant imagine that costing a fortune but you never know untill you actually get in there and do it.

Oh I know its gonna be totaled, but I cant do anything with it until the adjusters sort everything out between the two cars. I didnt think it looked bad, it appears to be all cosmetic. I dont care if they total out the car, Ill buy it back for $200 and fix it. Honestly Ill be keeping this car forever so it really doesnt need a resale value. I did have a 95 s14 that got totaled out and I bought it back for $200 and ended up selling it for $2k, and the new title was clear.
yeah you should get a new shell..anyone in my area want 92 eg shell clean title hit me up.im sellin one

Yeah im ok... i bounced my head off of the steering wheel..... CNYDC2 was in the car also. We both had seatbelts on, if we didnt have them on then I have a good feeling neither of us would be here today. So everyone wear the belts!!!

If you could get pictures of the frame rail, or better yet, go to a body shop and have them check it out and let you know, because by these pictures, it all looks cosmetic.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Its weird since this is an open investigation the car is located at a body shop but the shop cannot touch the car they said until all the insurance **** is figured out.
Am I wrong? Couldnt one of the guys that do frame work go outside and just look at it and beable to give me a rough idea if it needs to be pulled, and if it does how bad it looks?
