Help me with me ITR ECU!!!!!
Hey, i pulled the ecu out of my 98 type-r, but it has a stamp on it which reads: Dec 07 '94. WTF does that mean? The sticker reads: 37829-p28-A02 , then: 760-783603. Help me out! Im also about to part the car out soon. engine, tranny, suspension, master cylinders, seats. i will have the gunmetal rims eventually too.

thats a P28 ECU from a 92-95 civic EX..if your car has been runign fine then that probably means that the prev owner was running a jumper harness that allows you to run a obd1 ecu with obd2 car... and that ecu is probably chipped to run a ITR motor... at least hopefully it is lol

lol well i wasnt saying its the best ecu to run.. but its possible the prev owner was running some type of forced induction like hondata that requires using a chipped socketed P28 but then disabled the hondata upon removal of FI

Define a "new ITR", especially if its totaled!
New to you ... maybe, dead to the rest of the world though!
Been there, done that!

No man, my avatar pic 98 type-r was totalled and im parting it out, my newly purchased 97 is clean. But indeed, i almost bought a reconstructed shell for the engine from the 98; bad idea for sure.
