Hey i hardly ever use my remote entry thingy that came with my 97 civic ex. But ive dug it out and taken it apart and what ever, and its not really working. I wanted to know if it could be the battery or is it just busted (its not new, its been through some other owners, some of the plastic was pretty worn and some was cracked) When i took it apart i tried every button by pushing the chip, so i know its not a plastic top button connecting or somthing

The open trunk button doesnt work
and i can get right up next to the car and hit unlock several times and then it will finally get through.
opinions?

and how could i get a new one if it is busted?

if i had to guess...i'd say it was the battery
