this will not give your appliances the protection they need, and will also increase the risk of electril fire. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use ONLY the recommended fuses for your car. however, u can safely move DOWN for the fuse rating, but you may have to replace it more often is all.
how long does the fuse last before it blows? does it go right away? are you sure you're using the correct fuse? make sure everything is OFF before u plug in the fuse. gl

wow i cannot believe that someone gave you an advice to put a bigger fuse i don't want him working on anyones car..like someone said you have a short in the system the problem is that fuse is for a few more things than just interior lites , you need to look into an electrical manual to see what that fuse runs and than start eliminating circuits to locate the short
