DIY Polish Rims question.
I am in the process of doing this, just wondering to they guys that have done this if they clearcoated them after. If you did just wondering what kind of clear.
I am afraid the clear-coat wont stick...or should I just leave it.
Any tips would be great.

I am cleaning them up, I when I picked them up they were painted flat black. I just want them back to the original finish. I was going to polish as in "chrome" them, but I have no time. Right now I am working in some Mothers billet polish and they look pretty good.
btw They are fat fives.

Well I will assume you have already removed the black paint since you're working with polish. Here is a decent write up on cleaning up your oem wheels. Let me know if this helps ya out:

Heres a thread I made a little while ago. I just did the lips but you get the idea....aircraft remover, steel wool, 500 grit, 1000, 1500, 2000. Wetsand from 1000 to 2000. Clean then polished with a buffer attatchment and my cordless drill using mothers polish. I didn't clearcoat
