How to clean HX Rims black spots?
Sorry for the dumb question
But i have an Civic HX and I want to clean the rims good. After a good wash and spray and some soap, there are still dark black spots on the front rims. Anyone know a good way to clean them without ruining the rims?
Thanks
Wilson

whoa sanding them n degreasing will ruin them. just go to autozone and get some rim cleaner man. then you're all set. sanding will take off ur paint. degreasing will eat ur paint n clear

It's probably road tar picked up near road construction areas. I use Turtle Wax Tar and Bug remover. Safe enough to use on clear coat and strong enough to remove the worst crap. I've even used it to remove paint transfer from door dings/scratches.
