Default JDM B16A2 question

Hi, i just did a JDM b16a2 swap into my 98 civic hatch. it seems pretty quick, but not like an SIR should be. any ideas on what it could be? the only thing i can think of is i still have the stock dx fuel pump. would that make a difference?

i raced my buddies GSR that has all the same mods except his is chipped and a CAI not short ram, he beat me by a car length, and he has a big *** stereo.

any ideas?

There is no such thing as a jdm b16a2.Motor codes with a number on the end are usdm,ones with a letter are jdm. b16a=jdm b16a2=usdm

Give it a compression test. If it checks out, then learn how to drive.

his GSR also has .2 more liters than you. I just did this swap in my 00 EX, mine is fairly quick...what ecu are you running? do you have any bolt-ons?

I have a pr3 ECU and running dcsports header, full exhaust, short ram intake. and it runs great, and believe me BUDDY i can drive you dumb ****!

Ha ha, you just made my day dude, You GOTTA get the JDM fuel pump of course, your running MAAAD crazy llow fuel pressure. I'm surprised the muffler belt didn't catch on fire or seomthing!

BTW is your CEL on?

Hey, is the pr3 ECU very good?, my car kicks in the vtec in at like 6200rpm, shouldnt it be around 5500 5700? should i upgrade ECU or just get it chipped?

Oh and a gsr fuel pump would be fine? or should i go with a walbro or something of that sort?
