short circuit problem? please help..
i have a 95 acura integra and i have a system in it
a few weeks ago i went to my nearest audio store, sound city in denville new jersey..
i was getting my kick panel speakers warrentied and when they took them out.. i went to play my music again(which all the speakers are amplified with a 5 channel mtx amplifer) and nothing happened.. it then started to blow the main fuse to the power wire line to the amplifier.. what do you think the problem could be because i have begun to un-wire the car and i havent found any signs of where a short circuit would be happening.. is it even short-circuiting? and if so how would i be able to tell and locate the problem.. thank you very much...

Disconect all your speaker wires from the amp and then see if it powers up. If you still blow the fuse, and the amp is the only thing on this fuse then the amp is fried. If you have a ohm meter test each set of speaker wires for a short.

ryan</TD></TR></TABLE>Was it working before you had sound city remove the speakes, and not after you got the car back, [without the kick panel speakers]? if so, did sound city forget to cap off the speaker wires, and are they shorting out?

</TD></TR></TABLE>"Engine whine" is almost always caused by wiring problems, although can be caused by a mismatch of componants in the system HUs, Sig. Pro. and or Amps, but most likely, wiring
