Questions about nos?
My friend has a 97 'Teg Ls and he's gonna bottle feed it, it's a dry system, 40-shot, how far away from the throttle body, should the nozzle be, what should we set the timing at, and what degree spark plugs should he run?

it depends on what shot he's running....but normally it's 1 degree for every 25 hp or so....and dry systems should be about 10" away from the throttle body...and you could run ngk v power 8 series they should be fine..unless your running 75-100 shot
ok check this out, i called nos tech becuase i ahd mine about 13in off the tb, and theysaid the only thing putting it closer does is engage it quicker. they say farther becuase traction issue , the farther it it , it gives a small pause before it kicks.
i pu mine closer now to about 6inches or so and works great .
the key is direct shot into the throttle body , if it has to go around the bend in the intake , it will end up losing out .
and dont worry about the timing on that small of a shot . keep at stock . youll be fine.

yeah timing should be fine and i say place it 6"-10" away from the TB. but make sure he doesn't go crazy with it(like i did) and blow a headgasket(like i did).
man i dumb
man i dumb
that's why I'm asking, he didn't know what the hell he was doing and had it like four inches from the tb, no retarded timing, and stock plugs and blew his head gasket in a week, he was racing a Lexupoo poo the switch, and a mustang pulled out in front of him and he slammed him, he should be getting it back Friday.
