Ok i got a b16 and i installed the nitrous. I never had the fitting to tap into the intake pipe the right way and my rigged way has failed. So i was thinking can i tap the actuall throttle body right before the butterfly? Since its thicket and i can thread it to fit the nozzle for the nitrous. Has any1 done this before?
that is a bad idea. take your intake to a shop that can weld aluminum. have them weld a 1/4" thick aluminum block to it, so it can be drilled and tapped, and have enough material there to not strip out. have them drill and tap it for you. have it done 12-18" or so away from the TB. if you inject it in right at the TB, the pressure will most likely carry the mixture past runner 1 and maybe 2
Before anyone tells you where to put it, they should be asking if this is a wet or dry application. Also NOS sells a nice brass fitting for intake tubes to install the nozzle correctly PN#17283, 11$.
