Default tranny oil flush help

well, the weatherman tells me it'll be almost 60deg here in ct tomorrow so i plan to change my tranny oil. i (unwisely) didn't get mtf from mr mike k, so i'll stop into the local acura dealer and pick up 3qts. i've read the helms manual and changing the oil looks easy enough, but they don't have a good picture of where the oil fill and drain plugs are. can someone please post pictures of where to drain, check the level, and fill the tranny oil? thanks!

there is a plug with a square on it. thats your fill. what to do is....drain the tranny first. then put that drain plug back in. undo that fill plug using a 3/8" ratchet(it fits in the square). go to the top of your motor and look behind it way below your intake manifold from the passenger side. On the back of the tranny case you'll see a sensor with a plug. there is 1 10mm bolt holding that speed sensor in place. take it off(little gear on the end of it so you know what you removed( ). fill your tranny oil by using a long funnel to this spot. once the fluid starts coming out the lower fill hole your fine. put fill plug and speed sensor back on and your done. The fluid line is basically right at the bottom of that fill plug. hth

Hmm, on my tranny...the drain plug has a "square" in it (for use with a 3/8" rachet) and the fill plug is a 17mm bolt. I use the fill plug to fill the tranny with fluid...no need to put the fluid thru the speed sensor.

Don't be so technical. it would be really tough to put a 3/8" ratchet On an inset square plug

its easier to fill from the top then it is to use the normal fill hole. its a pain in the *** to get fluid into the hole when your containers and funnels don't like running fluid against gravity. I personally am able to pump my fluid in rather then use the speed sensor hole. Its just easier this way...not impossible. by the way....that speed sensor is shown at the bottom center in black of this photo

There is a MUCH easier way to fill the tranny by just filling through the VENT tube that's located on the TOP of the tranny.

Anybody got a pic of the TOP of the tranny? I could point it out then. It's a pretty small hole, so you'll need to be patient. This way you SURE not to mess up and under/over fill and spill shiet.

yah the speed sensor? I watched someone do it that way, and it just seemed so cluttered and stuff to get to...Its not really too much harder this way...although i did do it with a friend with the wheel off, but, I had just bought a creeper, and I had to have an excuse to use it

Where can I get those gloves? I have a pair of mechanical gloves, but they don't give me the "touchy" feeling.
