Default NEED FAST RESPONSE... oil pan issue

last night i hit a pothole and my oil started leaking on the freeway, eventually it all leaked out and my car stalled. I tried adding more oil but it just came right back out from the oil pan. now my question... could that have cracked my oil pan? or is it something less serious than that. please help

Jack the car up and see where its coming from. Its likely your oil pan, and hopefully you didnt seize the pistons or worse.

Well first off, don't turn the car on at all. Secondly, jack up the car and see if you notice a crack. If it's not cracked, check around the gasket and see if it's still leaking there. If it is crack, it's a pretty easy job to do.

Buy a new oil pan and gasket, install. It's as easy as it looks, remove the bottom peice of the header, remove the oil pan bolts, bolt the new one on, with the gasket, reattach, add oil. Done.

you also need to remove the flywheel cover to get to some of the bolts.

Well, only way to tell really is to put oil in it and try starting it up. Most likely your engine is garbage though and you will need to replace at least the block/lower end.

If i were you i would try the oil pan first, its cheaper than swapping the motor.
