advance timing on an b18c
I advanced my timing to 18 deg. It feels good on the low-end (under 5k rpm), but in the 7-8k range, the car is dying....? Is that normal? What should I expect with the advance in timing?
The car only has normal bolt ons, an MSD ign, new wires and plugs.

No codes, and it's not misfiring. It feels like the engine doesn't want to pull from
7k up. It never did that before at the stock timing. (I'm thinking it might be fuel related, but not really sure - I'm running on a stock Civic DX fuel pump).
