SOHC to DOHC ?

Default SOHC to DOHC ?

is it possible to take a sohc vtec motor and put a dohc head on it? and if so how much of a pain in the *** is it and is there realy a noticable increase in power?

it will be a pain in the ***....after u try it and figure out there is no way in hell u can do it...sohc is interchangable with sohc and dohc with dohc

No, B and D series blocks/heads dont mix. Nor do their trannies. Welcome to honda-tech. You will be flamed pretty soon. Read the rules on the top of the forum main page and don't let the mean people scare you off.

its all good man ... think of it this way... a B has two bumps on it.. like a dohc has two cams... D has one bump similar to one cam...

the letter B cannot be used to replace D so therefore B and D heads/blocks etc dont mix

simply, NO.

There is one exception, but it was completely unreilable. it was the ONLY DOHC D series, and it ruined constantly. Doing a B head on a D block is NOT possible though.
