Default GSR ENGINE REBUILD HELP

I have a 98 GSR came in my del sol when i bought it
How can i tell what ECU its running? I think it is the stock del sol v tec model, I had a diagnostics on it and had to use the del sol vin to read it...

But my main problem is i need to put my enigne back together, I need tourque specs, on whole top end of motor and line diagrams.. vacuum lines etc..

Yes i did a couple searches didnt fine nething..

look at the ECU(it's in the passenger kick panel.behind the carpet).it will have a sticker with a long number on it.in that code will be a three number part.it will say "P72" if it is a GSR ECU,or "P30" if it's a DOHC VTEC Del Sol ECU.
for all the torque specs and other info,get a good shop manual.you will need it-asking for every spec online is no way to get it done.

Thanks, I got a HANES manual on order, thought imight find some info on here..
SHould i change this ecu????
What would be the BEST to use?

for the B18C1,a P72 would be best.

Not necessarliy....you could get a PO6 or a P28 converted to a P72 with uberdata and all with all the specs you wanted including rev. limit where u want it and launch features. Or just get the one you have chipped and your off.

for a stock motor though,the stock program is probably the best route.no need to go to all the trouble of chipping other ECUs to the P72 specs.

Yeah your right but what i was saying is if he didnt have a P72 right now its probably cheaper to get the one he has converted than to buy the P72.

All i got done is CAi , header, exaust MSd ignition system, so what should i do to get the most out of the engine....
