Vented Carbon Fiber hoods?
Okay... this may sound like a stupid question but what the heck...
In a vented carbon fiber hood, where does the water go when it's raining???
Does any of the water get into the engine bay???
Thanks in advance.

I don't seem to have any problem with my Ings hood and it rains a shitload here on Okinawa. I say the vents far outweigh whatever the water may or may not do inside the engine bay. With the 2 outlet vents to shed heat and the inlet vent to push air down onto the exmani to try and curb heatsoak within the engine bay, a most definite plus in my eyes.
^Gotta agree with Chris. Prolly have to work a little harder to keep the engine clean though. I removed my grill for better air flow underhood and a lot more dust gets in along with the extra air.
I think some companies like VIS have channels on the understide to direct water away, but it prob. kills the cooling / aero features. JSP I know has 'functional' or 'non-functional' scooped hoods. also, when your moving the water prob. wont get in, its just wen your sitting. So if its a daily driver, maybe scoop isnt for you. Like everything else, its a give and take.
VIS doesnt have any channels to direct water away, ive been through two vented VIS hoods and all of them just had a black grill...
The buddy club hood im getting has a fiberglass piece that you can add on so it doesnt vent so rain doesnt get in. I used to keep tape in the car to tape up the vents when its pouring.
