Default My car clicks.

When I am in 1st or 2nd and I accelerate pretty decently then let off the gas, my car clicks or pops. It's not the famous clutch noise like I thought it was before because it still makes the noise before I even touch the clutch pedal. It sounds like it's coming from behind the seats under the car (near the rear axle) but I could be wrong. I installed an aem cai a couple of days ago and it wasn't making the noise before but i really don"t think that had anything to do with it. Let me know if ya'll have any suggestions.

Matt

Not sure of the sound that you speak of. If the noise is consistant, then i recommand bringing it to the Acura.

could this possibly have no relation to the drivetrain at all, and be the exhaust system?

My stainless Mugen system makes clicking noises all the time as it expands and contracts due to heat in the system. If I drive a bit and stop at a light or something I can hear a pretty regular ticking sound.

Interesting point about the exhaust, but mine is stock, so I dunno? Is it okay to bring the car to Acura with the cai on it?

Hmm...interesting...my full cat back mugen exhaust does not do this...maybe one of your exhaust hangers isn't sitting right.

Yeah I would like to know what "voids" the warranty. Cause i do want to put CAI and exhaust on my car, then again i dont want to void anything just in case i have to take it to acura. Always could just take it off but to avoid that hastle of doing it.

I noticed that the clicking sounds happens a lot during stop and go traffic.
