Actually, it depends on where you are.
Here, in michigan, we have great gas (which is the only good thing I can say about this place), which I would imagine wouldnt have any problems with that compression.
California, however, has **** gas.

possibly, you can get away with alot depend how your timing works out at the cams and at the dizzy. I wouldn't do it myself because I am not too great at tuning, but with the right tuner I would trust it.
I know that Endyn's custom weisco pistons advertise 12.5:1 on 91 octane. Larry designed in special reflector grooves in the piston dome that are supposed to create a more complete & efficent burn. Check their stuff out at http://www.endynracingengines.com.
My buddy in Colombus runs 12.7 : 1 CR in his JDM GSR on 93 pump gas and he doesn't knock. Get your car tuned, though, because running that on the stock computer is just begging for disaster.
