Im having some problems and I think is my TPS or my ECU.
Some times my car have problems when I step the gas, like the car is holded, the car dont have too much power then the power is back. Sometimes it turn the check light on and throw the TPS code, The TPS voltage is good. Then I reset the ecu and the code is gone. The car is fine but the problem came back after a couple of minutes driving the car but no code 7. The car have no check light on but if I jump the plug near the ecu It throw the code 7. My idle is good, my timing is good too. every thing its fine but this. This problem is driving me crazy, I dont know what to check. If u have anyidea what can be the problem please help me.

Usually with a TPS problem, it wont throw a code, because the sensor is actually still working, just not correctly. You can replace it, but brand new they only sell it with the throttle body.

 

I dont know if they are the same but I have a b series tps.

 

i am having the same problem on my hatch some one said the igniton coil or the dizzy. PLEASE HELP

 

How can I check if the wires to the TPS are OK?

 

You get a helms manual and check what the voltage should be. Then measure it. But it could be sticking, or misaligned or something.

All honda TPS sensors are basically the same.

 

I checked the volts at the tps, 0.45 at close throttle and while I open the throttle it starts to raise till 4.5 at WOT.

 

back probe the wires at the connector with your multi-meter probes

 

But the weird thing about it is that the problem only happend when I have my A/C on. While Im ith no AC the car feel great but if I turn the A/C on I feel a lost on power and after a couple of minutes driving the car starts to act weird. Sometimes the check light didnt light up.

Thats why I think its not a TPS problem cause if was the TPS the the problem would be always, with The AC on or off.

OBD2-1 Conversion with a p28 ecu by any chance??

 

I checked the volts at the ecu after the con harness and they are OK

 

all honda tps's are the same, you're gonna have to put slices in the rivets and they work like screws. I had the exact same problem you speak of and it was more severe. You're gonna have to replace it. mine went bad and I also had a short in the wireharness. So I also had to shorten some wires re soder them and heatshrink them. The wire itself was getting voltage but when I took the plastic clip off the live wire (green/yellow) was not getting any juice at the connector so there was a short in the wire.

The red/black wire you have to measure the voltage with. Should be .45 closed and like 4.5-5.0 volts at WOT. Its not a one person job either you will need someone to hold the equipment for you while you slightly tweak the tps. Normally some people say the tps itself just needs a slight adjustment. That didnt seem to be the case with mine. The tps sensor after some time actually just goes bad, kind like the rotator disc in your distributor cap the tps sensors little tooth wears. Once its worn it needs to be replaced.

Have you taken a look at this persons motor for them? My father argued with me for a few hours the tps wasnt the problem in my car either. I replaced it and tweaked it to the correct voltage and fixed a few worn wires and the **** works perfect now.

So please explain your stupid *** comment.

So the tps voltage checks out....HMMM

It only happens when the AC is on...HMM why would the tps go bad, only when AC is on??

 

What is the signs of a bad tps?
