ok, before anybody tells me, i did my search on "choking" and found:

and also did my search on "bogging" - but really found nothing that would answer my problem...

i am currently doing a swap: (b18c5 to my 97 ek hatch)
-using chipped P28 (OBD1)
-using jumper harness for ECU (OBD2a --> OBD1)
-using 98 Si harness (OBD2a) - <CANADIAN>

everything seemed to work out fine until i tried my first crank...
the engine will start, and idle fine. but as soon as i hit the gas (just barely) the throttle sounds like it chokes, then dies.

(note)-
-the motor is using my stock 97 ek injectors, since the ones that it came with was leaking
-currently do not have o2 sensor plugged, since i need an exhaust put on
-motor has new spark plugs
-no CELs thrown

can anybody help?

ur o2 maybe cuzz ur ecu doesnt really noe wuts goin on

 

swap your tps and map sensor connectors that usually will cause your engine to die if you have those two swapped around GOOD LUCK

 

thought it was the o2, but we'll see when i get the exhaust done..

and map sensor and tps is not the problem.. cause the motor idles fine... its just when i give it gas, sounds like it chokes and then dies...

done! - it was the fuel pressure... some reason it was at 20...
