Default mini me head gasket Q

if im using a A6 bottom and Y8 head, should i use a Z6 head gasket? i plan on boosting, and i think i read something about the y8 gasket bumping up compression. also are there any benefits to using the y8 intake manifiold over my stock a6 one? much of a diff?

Funny you should say that. When you put a vtec head on the a6 block it raises compression which is bad for boost, and it also brings in the complication of tuning vtec with boost. If you really wanna boost, I say keep the a6 head.

If your heart is set on having vtec with a turbo, then yes, go with a z6 head gasket because that is the best head gasket for boost in a mini-me swap. The a6 gasket (like rexwreck said) blows and the Y8 gasket will increase compression (bad for boost).

Yes, definately use the y8 manifold and an LS throttle body.
