Default Need input on turbo parts

I went to a tuning shop today and got this list of parts to turbo a GSR B18C1 on a del Sol. I would like to know if I can do better on some of the prices he quoted here - I'm at liberty to bring my own parts to the shop.

Cast Manifold $600

Garrett T3/T04E $600

Kaizenspeed.com Intercooler $400

TiAl 38mm Wastegate with 0.3 bar spring $275

Greddy Type S BOV $270

Oil feed/return $100

Mandrel U-Bends 2.5" x 5 $125

DSM 450cc Injectors $100

Walbro 255lph fuel pump $150

ODBIIa-ODBI jumper harness $100

ODBI PR4 ECU + Chipping $175

Greddy 60mm White Face Boost Gauge $120

PLX Devices Wideband O2 $375

Turbonetics Manual Boost Controller $90

MSD 8.5mm Plug Wires $80

NGK ZFR6F-11 Spark Plugs $15

Kindly let me know if you can help out with website links etc. I'll start looking on ebay, but if there's a reputable online shop that has it at a reasonable price, I'll rather do that.

Thanks.

you should just buy a turbo kit...more for your dollar bro...go to http://www.turbo-kits.com...or try Turbonetics kit..it comes with all lines and hardware plus turbo/intercooler/manifold/wastegate...etc.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Well all of this stuff you can get cheaper, but its all in looking for it. Lets start with the manifold. 600 for a cast is spendy when you can pay the same for a equal length mani. Next your turbo...you decide on that one. Your intercooler isnt cheap either. JohnnyRaceCar or CCA intercoolers are nice and are way cheaper. TiAL wastegate im sure can be had for cheaper. Same with the BOV. Oil lines you could get from Stealthmode for cheaper. Your piping could be had from JCWhitney for cheaper im sure. Your DSM injectors could be had from DSMTrader.com for way cheaper and your Walbro could be purchased for cheaper also. Im adding opinion here but do not get the MSD wires. Get yourself some NGK blue wires. They are cheaper and better in my opinion. I didnt really go into great detail as to where you could get everything, but I did include a grip load of links that should be able to help you find better prices or better products for the amount of money you have listed. Have fun. http://www.crpturbo.com/ http://www.fast-turbo.com/ http://www.turbo-performance.com/index.htm http://www.atpturbo.com/ http://www.lovefab.com/ http://www.speedpartsrus.com/ http://www.stealthmodeperformance.com/ http://www.johnnyracecar.com/ http://www.gopartstrader.com/c...s.cgi

Looks like you're on the right track. Shopping the classifieds for deals on a few used parts, might not be a bad idea either. Just be patient, shop around, and you'll get your stuff together.

A resistor box for your DSM injectors if you already didnt know. I would also say to look into something alittle better then a T3/T4 turbo with the money you will save on other stuff. Also you could get a PLX wideband for cheaper to. I even think theres a member/sponser on here that does them for 313 shipped. And piscorpio is right to...it never hurts to buy used parts as long as you know what your looking for and what you should avoid.

Cool - I posted this list in the classifieds section, but I guess I have to post item by item or something. People may not be reading the list carefully
