Ive been gettin on my car a lot, ever since i got the swap put it, andddd... Once it gets to like 7500-8000rpms it feels like there are "dead spots" almost like it gets sluggish for a second. Its kind of hard to explain, and i really have no idea what causes it. Im thinking maybe cause my exhaust is too small? (stock DX piping).

yup. exhaust too small. got my swap done this weekend in a 92 vx, with stock vx exhaust and dc 4-1 header. motor felt good till right before vtec. got my exhaust, 2.25 inch with cat, resitnator magna flow muffler. pulls real nice to 8000 after the exhaust.

does your check engine light come on or antying when you go that high in your rpm range?
