Turbo ITR PART 1
i just got the head off tonight, the block should be out soon. pauter rods and arias piston 85mm bore 9.5comp will be on order soon. the block already has RS machine sleeves so the motor should be able to handle the power i plan on making.
the head already has a full portflow valve train so its good to go also. turbo and turbo manfold have yet to be decided.
now time for the pics

after

note the valve cover was already that dirty

If you don't mind, I'd like to suggest the Full-Race heads. They are beautiful pieces of hardware and stainless, so the will not crack like a cast iron piece will. With the exhaust, KTELLER (HT sponser) makes nice stainless steel turbo exhausts for the ITR and turbo applications. Very cheap. I paid $400 with a test pipe plus shipping.
At any rate. Keep us posted on the Terd-Blow R build

i know full race make a exremely nice manifold, i dont know if i can justify paying 1000+ for it though. who know i might find a *another* awesome deal
i deff plan on keeping records of the build, and giving my ITR brothers (and sisters) all the info *and pics* i pick up along the way.

First of all, let me say that pretty much all pistons are the same, and Arias would do the job. But here's a comparison of some of the specs of a bunch of them. It reads like a Wiesco advertisement.
They compare Wiseco, JE Pistons, Arias Pistons, Ross Pistons, CP Pistons, and Honda B20B

Congrats on the quick progress.

i'm guessing by "heads" you reffering to manifold? if so, its the other way around, stainless steel cast iron... lets say inline pro manifold is the most durable you'll find. theres nothing wrong with equal lenght/race manifolds, and it may not crack... but equal lenght/race manifolds, and not to point to any specific brand name, are more likely to crack than one piece cast iron.

for manifold stuff, check out 1fab. excellent quality, local, and cheaper than full-race, but with all the same peformance.
let's set up the R-meet!</TD></TR></TABLE>
whats up dude, hopefully the car will be up and running w/ in the next month. machine shop may have the block up to 3 weeks, so thats where i will have the most down time.
yea i checked out 1fab and they do have nice manifolds, there package deals dont seem to bad either.
i would like to the set the meet up as soon as i get the car running, so hopefully some time next month. i will keep in touch and try to get a idea on how many houston and surounding ITR owners would intrested in going. beer, bbq, go cart racing, and ITRs.....life doesnt get any better
