Default Mechanical Differences?

I have a 2001 GSR, and have heard different rumors from many different sources... I am looking for a REAL and TRUTHFUL answer from someone that knows for sure...

Are there any mechanical differences between the 94-99 GSR and the 00-01 GSR? Other than ECU, and external differences... I am basically pinpointing to changes that affect engine performance. Are there any differences? I know the engine codes are the same... B18c1, but is there anything different going on?

Thanks.

94-95= OBD 1, 96-98= OBD 2, 99+OBDb Let's just start off with the 94-95 GSR, differences from OBD1 to OBD2=secondary O2 sensor, different pin locations on the distributor and alternator, and a crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor. I believe that the 99+ motors are still the same (no new sensors on the motor). 96-98 ECU's use A,B,D 99+ use A,B,C.

2000 and 2001 have a shorter Cat. Converter.

I'm of the believe that the OBD1 GSRs are a little stronger as well. May have to do with the tigher emissions regulations applied to OBD2 vehicles.
