TICKET
i just got a driving with out proof of insurance ticket, my question is when i go down to the court house will the ticket just get dropped or will it just be reduced.
I had the same kind of ticket. If I remember correctly, you still pay the fine.. but if you don't have proof of insurance at the time you got the ticket, then you're driving with no insurance, and they might give you a bigger fine? I am not quite sure :/ I remember having to pay some money

all you have to do is show proof you had insuranc prior to being pulled over. if you have no proof get ready to pay $1,000+

well than what were you doing galivanting around with no insurance card? what if you got in an accident? how does jail time or a law suit sound?
Was it registered? In most states you need at least a temp card to even register the vehicle. In which case you shoulda just put it in the car when you got home.
I dont have to think "Oh gee I wonder if he just got the car?" Thats not an option, you either have the card or you dont. They judge isn't going to care if you just got the car; you should not have been on the road without it.
think before you do something stupid.
You knew the law, you broke it, you got caught. Smart ***. I'll pay your ticket, if you pay my house bills.

Really, you know insurance companies can email and fax you a temp card.
needless, you should not have been out and about in the car with out it.
How much is your ticket? you might wanna know $35 doesnt even cover the cable bill, the phone bill or the internet bill.

All you have to do is drive around with an older card, and tell the cops there your waiting for the new card, they will run it and you will be all set. No need to even wait for the new temp card to show up

but he just got the car, he wouldnt have an old card. And I know in a lot of states you need to furnish proof of insurance at the DMV to even register it for plates.

Ok so your gonna go to court and it will be thrown out.
If you don't beleive me, go to court a few weeks before your date, go to the same room your suppose to go, get there earlie and you will see what I'm talking about
One of the first things the court advisor will tell you is, if you hear for driving with no insurance you have 2 choices, show proof of insurance or plead guilty.
They will explain it all, there will be a ton of other people there for the same reason your there, just hope the judge is in a good mood. I once saw a case where a guy got a ticket for something little , he thought it would be funny to plead guilty and not even say a word about it and the judge threw him in jail for a year. The guy was suprised so he yelled he did not want to go to jail, so the judge asked him if he was ready to start talking.

Could be dropped or you could have to pay it. I've seen the judge at the traffic court tell people they are wasting his time and they made them pay a fine. Might not of been what the usual fine is but generally its whatever the judge decides.
i've gotten 2 of those tickets so far and each case was dropped everytime i showed my insurance card. Didnt even see a judge, just went up to the clerk and asked if they could clear it up for me. and that was it.
it just depends on the area you live and the judge i got the same ticket but i had left my card at home on accident. when i arrived at the court room and showed that i did have proof i still had to pay . take you chances and go it can't hurt . good luck man
