Default hondata, iac duty cycle

Can anyone tell me exactly what this setting does? I'm having a problem with my idle - when I take the car out of gear the RPM will drop way too low (around or maybe lower than 500) then it will correct itself after a second and idle fine. I think it tends to happen mainly when the car is cold.

Mine does this too.. I wouldn't worry about it..
Mine doesn't surge.

It's just after a hard run when I put the clutch in.. it drops to like 400-500 then comes right back up to 1000.

That's exactly what mine does. I'm not really worried about it, I just want it fixed.

Mine does that when cold. I have a P-28 ECU and it only did that when I installed that... I do not have my Hondata as of yet... but I guess it wont go away when I install the hondata huh? Oh well.. the car hasn't died yet because of it, and I never have to give it gas, so I'll take it as it is...

The best way to fix the idle (before messing with the duty cycle) is to play around with the low speed fuel map (if you have 4B and an emulator, etc.). The stock tuned platforms made by Hondata do a pretty good job in this department. If the low speed maps don't help (which they should), play with the duty cycle. If you play with the duty cycle first, the problem may not be fixed.

The key in in the low maps.
