how old is the coolant, sounds like either the system needs to be flushed or the thermostat went bad and stuck open.

so i take it if a therm is stuck open the car will still heat up but take forever? I thought the only way a thermo can go bad is if the car is over heating ill check into this tomorow

hence check the coolant level again and make sure the cooling system is 100% bled.
