S03's are FAT....literally
I just got some Bridgestone Potenza S03's. I've heard they are a very wide tire, so I took some pics. S03's are 205/50/15, and the Pirelli PZero's are 205/45/16....there is a "huge" difference. The S03's are for my civic hatch, the PZero's are for the R....a little worried about rubbing on the hatch, but that's what I got them for, to test it out. Anyway, just so you know, it's true, they are wide.
On Tirerack, the section width for 205 S03's = 8.4", 205 PZero's = 8.2".

Looks like your PZeros are mounted on wheels in that pic. The S03's will be more narrow once mounted. Plus the pic isn't level, so it exaggerates the difference I think.
Once they're all mounted, the difference should be smaller, and if the PZeros didn't rub, then I doubt these will.

They ARE mounted!!

They tower over everything.

Here's the diff. between the 205/50/15 S03's and the SAME SIZE Kuhmo Victoracers...it's almost 3 inches!!

The PZero's are on the R, and the S03's are for my Civic Hatch which is lowered. With a +45mm offset, they're tucked pretty far in. They might rub on the inside and outside.

Interesting... That's a lot of wheels+tires! I'm really surprise to see how much wider they are... BTW, why don't you used the K1+Kumho at the track?
I had the Kumho's on my R and they are so good... They melt like butter, but oh well, everything has a price in life!
PS=> I'm happy to see that I'm not the only guy who keeps is tires+wheels inside.
Not the garage, the living room.... Kitchen in your case! loll
Nice kitchen!

You gotta keep them inside, esp. where it snows...too cold in the garage!!
If only I could get the R inside the apartment.....
p.s. The S03/Kosei K1's were a X-Mas present from the girlfriend

That must be a nice high-performance beater!
Damn, spend some $ on go-fast goodies too Troy!

Ken: now you know why I don't have spec B's.
Man, it started out as a winter beater, basically
daily driver, and a stock cx is just so boring I can't stand it.
So, I had to modify the civic a little.

The 205/50-15 S-03s are wider than my Kumho V700s and my old AVS Intermediates of the same size. Right now I also have the S-03s mounted on some K1s and both are holding up just fine. I recently used my car with the S-03s and K1s at Laguna Seca and both did great, or least better than the stock brakes. The tires also look so much wider on the car. Here's some pics we took at the raceway so you can see.

I thought about this too, in fact I edited it out of my previous post. You are right, tires will be wider on wider rims. The S-03s and P-Zeros should be wider than the Kumhos because they are both probably on 7" wide rims, while the Kumhos are on only 6" wide, so the wheel width would explain the difference between the Kumhos, but not the P-Zeros. Plus having had the Kumhos and S-03s both off the rim, the S-03s are wider.
