Fuel injectors foir an OBD-I car, but OBD-II block/head
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions re: FI's? I have an '92 Lude now with an H23. I am planning on pulling the H23 and putting in a 98 block with a 99 head. Basically my car is OBD-I now and I have been told that I should stay this route as it is less of a headache. However, what do I use for injectors? I realize that the intake mani's are the same size, and I will get headers for 97-up VTEC, but which injectors/ECU do I use? If the goal is to stay OBD-I, would I use the P28 (and maybe Hondata?) and OBD1 injectors (i.e. pre-96) ? Any help is appreciated.
i am having this problem as we speak, i have a obd2 97 h22 with a p28(obd1) ecu in it for hondata. i had to buy a resistor box and clips, used peak and hold (low impedence) injectors from a dsm and it works fine. the p28 cannot work with the stock high impedence injectors (saturated)

So your car was already OBD-II? and you wanted to use the P28 (OBD-I)
Since my car is already OBD-I ( I am guessing that I do not need a resistor box)
I am thinking of going with peak/hold inj. (345cc), and using the p28 with Hondata.
Any comments?

this thread does not say USDM vs. JDM, but: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=549372
I would say 345cc

does the peak and hold vs saturated have any effect over the ecu... or is it just the size of the injectors that matters
no effect on the ecu, but with the 4th gen injectors, you need a resistor box so the ecu reads the correct resistance. Otherwise it won't work.
ok guys, you can use saturated injectors w/p28, just dont use the resistor box. however 90% of bigger injectors are peak and hold and require resistor box in any honda. 4th gens already have them.
you will NOT want 97+ injectors, you will want to use ALL 4th gen parts on your h22 and car, ie oil pump and dist., and header. this is not the only way, but is easiest and the best.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I think it's more important to match injectors to your ecu than to match them with your head. Worst case scenario is you run rich.
a chipped p28 can run any fuel map you want, but is most likely the obd1 version of the p13 maps. you just need to know what the chip is for, and match your injectors to that.

resistor box? you mean as in the resistor box in Lude's that are OBD-I right?

yes. all resistor boxes are the same for hondas. I went to a junkyard and got one off an old wrecked DA teg.

what's fpr? fuel pressure regulator?
