DSM's flooding engine on startup...
Is it common for larger injectors to flood the engine during startup? My D16Y8 starts on the first rotation or sometimes gets too much fuel and dies and I have to restart it. Is this a common problem for those who use larger injectors? Is there a solution?
EDIT: Using a chipped P28 and Hondata S200b for management, resistor box wired into the injectors properly. Runs perfect the rest of the time.

what are you using to control the injectors? if you just stuck them on there with out some kind of fuel controller, you will flood the motor. heres an example of what i mean.
ecu tells stock honda 240cc injectors to shoot lets say 20%
if you just slapped the dsm injectors on, the ecu will tell the dsm injectors to shoot 20% too but it will be according to the dsm size.

Re: DSM's flooding engine on startup... (egcivic)
I've got a chipped P28 with Hondata s200b controlling everything, resistor box wired in. I should have been more specific. It runs perfect the rest of the time, just on start up because I think the ECU is telling the injectors to fire too much fuel in while cranking.

My Uberdata setup was the same way, I just had to hold the throttle open slightly while cranking. You kinda get used to it I guess.

if you had a Power FC you could do that with the commander immediately

I wonder if that's something the tuner can do with the Hondata...
