Default GSR turbo.....help?

sup guys. my current set up is gsr turbo. im runnin GSR motor with skunk2 manifold and CTR cams/cam gears. and i have a complete drag kit hooked up. kit is complete and im runnin a vortech FMU, FPR, and a upgraded fuel pump. The thing is its not boosting smooth...ive know that CTR cams aren't recommended for turbo, but ive also heard that if you tune it right you get better amount of horses....Problem im having is....it boosts but it bogs....than u feel lack of boost....than later on it caughtes. im thinking its in the range of vtec, and the overlap is too much thats why it bogs. Ive tried messing with fuel/timing and everything is set right......my question is anyone runnin this set up? and is there a way to work around the CTR cams with by adjusting the cam gears? anyone runnin similar set up? any advice? any help would do, thanks for your lookin!

sounds like your getting to much fuel. i would ditch the FMU and missing link and get a standalone like uberdata. i used uberdata on my first setup and it was great, if your in the CT area i would recomend phiz for tuning now on topic: it sounds like your getting to much fuel and thats why its bogging. same thing happened to my friend but he ran fmu AND 550's *crazy* amounts of fuel.

right now im runnin just a vortech fmu 10-1 i believe with stock pump. Ive changed it to a blox 12-1 and up higher out put pump forogot whats the specs on the pump....it still ran the same. my question is could it be the valve overlap thats cause my car to blog/lose booost. you feel it booost, but it doesn't got anywhere. anyone runnin CTR cams thats having the same problem? im thinkin of gettin engine management.....but low on money. anyone know any good tuning shops in bayarea? thanks for the feedback, keep em coming!

First off you need bigger injectors. My 310cc injectors tapped out at 208Whp on my GSR, and thats on 7-8lbs. of boost. Get at least some 310's. You said you've heard you can get it tuned to run right with the CTR cams, then you gotta get it tuned. Don't risk your engine, your blessed to have a B18C under the hood, don't go blowing it. Get Uberdata if you're broke, Hondata if you got the loot. All I gots is Hondata and 310cc injectors (my 440s are en route from lightning as we speak) and my car runs perfect. No need for an aftermarket fuel pump. Keep it simple man, bigger than stock injectors, a decent standalone (Emanage if worse comes to worse)and a good tune.
I wouldn't be boosting on a tune or set up I wasn't sure of. You'll be asking us to identify strange smoke and oil in the engine bay next week. Just be patient and get your set up right before you blow a beautiful engine. Show some respect for your teg man.

uberdata cost me 300 for ECU and conversion harness (obd2-obd1) + tuning. theres plenty of guys on here that can do the harness/ecu combo for you. contact phiz here on HT, good guy

Thanks for the vote of confidence SSBPGSR. If he was out here I would take care of him in a heartbeat, but since he is on the other side of the country, I'd like to see him exhaust his local options first.

what are you upping for? did you have another question? the suggestions given to you are valid.. try those, if they don't work.. let us know... btw.. since you have a p72 correct? obd1 or 2? for uberdata, you need an obd1 p72 uberdata ready... can be had for ~$185 shipped to you via the guy in my signature.. e-mail him for best results... instead of uberdata, he will load a basemap w/ crome... i don't know man.. doesn't seem like you did much research before slapping on the turbo kit? if you're stuck on the FMU/missing link route.. then i can't help ya there.
