Default Starter Caught On Fire

I have an 99 hatch with an automatic H22A, the swap was finished Thursday 3/10/05, i havent been able to drive the car too much since i dont have any insurance or a tag yet but i have been just crusing up and down some back neighborhood roads. Well last night after maybe a 5 minute drive i get home and smell something burning and smoke pouring out from under my hood. I pop the hood and my starter had caught on fire. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this, i already have a new one ordered, but i would like to know what caused it so it doesnt happen again

if the positive wire of the starter shielding was exposed and touched metal it would be enough juice to arc and cause a fire..

you did the swap yourself and your taking it to a mechanic?

This thread is usless. Why the hell did you even post a question like this if for 1, you are sending the car over to a mechanic and 2, you don't even have pics. THis is not the psychic network .
