Default Overheating?

ok so today I'm driving home and my car has sparks shoot from under the hood and stall and when I ran out front to see what was wrong nothing. But as I shut the hood tada all the power back and I drove it home. So either it overheated as it was extremely hot or a wire grounded out as now my gauges are all faded pretty bad and that would explain the power as I shut the hood.

Default Re: Overheating?

check all ur wiring and grounding and see if any of the rubber surrounding any of the wires is worn or rubbing against nething.....i wouldnt think it was overheated unless ur temp guage went crazy and idk how that would cause sparks. check all ur fuses while ur at it. only other thing i can think of is a relay......sorry thas alot to chec but ive never heard of that happening so better safe than sorry.
