Default installing aftermarket radio

sup guys,
i got a 98 accord ex, i wana install an after market (pinoneer). what do i need to install the unit. i took evrything apartbut i need brakets that will hold that radio in place...factory radio is twice as large, so it there a compartment i can buy from honda to fit underneath it..can some one inform me on what options i have to install this radio...thanks

basically all you need is the plastic piece that has a litlle compartment in it and another spot for your radio (so it takes up the whole area of what used to be your OEM radio) and you will need the harness adapter to adapt the cars harness to the Pioneer deck. other than that you should be golden!

if you go through best buy or curcuit city its about 10-15 per piece (harness adaptor and plastic mount) so total $20-30. it sucks but its the only way

go grab a radio mounting kit at bestbuy, it's just under 20buck(with tax and everything), and see the one you don't use(there's like couple of single din mount kit for civic so you can go ahead and see them on ebay) i sold my unused civic piece for ten buck on ebay

you don't really need to buy the harness adapter if you want to, it's a matter of color matching all the wires, which i could give you a link to. Half an hour job(soldering iron, solder, wire stripper that's all it takes)

ibought that kit from best buy...i install it, n it leaves a big gap. from bottom of compartment to dash. is this right? it looks horrible, u see the inside of the dash. am i missing soemhting here? it doesnt fit all flush the compartment loook likes it needs to be a little longer in height
