need your opinion on my exhaust
ok I made a little drawing, showing my ideas. the top one is the stock exhaust, the left one is idea #1, and the right one is idea #2.

First of all, note that both are center exit exhausts.
The main difference is the placement of the mufflers. I can go like a domestic, and have the muffler up under the car. After the muffler, run the two pipes back toward the rear of the car after passing through a resonator on each side, ending in a nice little tip sticking out of two notches cut into my WW rear lip.
OR, I can just put a resonator after the cat, and then run the pipe back to a dual N1 or some other kind of nice looking universal muffler hung in the middle of the car, sticking out the back in the same manner.
please post comments, and vote on which you think would be easier & more effective.

uhm... i don't know if either of your ideas are possible. you have to follow the factory piping route. unless you don't care about your whole exhaust system scraping everywhere. i personally don't like either one of your ideas (nothing against you) and you'll see why if you do it. and please don't get a dynomax!
just get a nice cat-back system.

well, I can follow the stock exhaust path to within a reasonable distance from the back tires. The closer you get to the tires, the lower you can get without worrying about hitting the ground.
thanks for the input though - I'm really divided on this, between a store-bought system and something a little different (center exit)

well, think about the piping from cat back to the rear wheels... it's gonna be hanging down too low. trust me, one of my friends tried doing that and he had to take it off the next day. it is not worth even trying.
if you want to do something different, try this;
follow the stock route, after the rear wheel you can take it to the left side and have a nice muffler mounted to go tilted. or have it in the middle with piping following the stock exhaust route up until the rear wheels...
trust me dawg, you will make a big mistake by doing this, especially if your car is lowered.
plus, your username says "JDM LUDE". why don't you get a nice JDM exhaust?
there is absolutely nothing JDM about dynomax... but it's your car, your money, your idea, so go ahead and do whatever makes you happy.

heh the JDM lude name is sort of an inside thing with my friends - I'm not really on a JDM craze or anything. I've got the motor, LSD, and headlights - all I really want... (well ok maybe the mirrors someday) - not really in a need to go with JDM all the time.
I'll talk to a local muffler shop about clearance. I think I will probably have to loose my lower tie bar...
