nhra street stock battery relocation question about the rules?

i have a crx if i relocate the battery to the frame rail just ahead of the transmission do i need a external cutoff switch?? i wouldn't want to drive my car on the street with that

thats what i thought but i had a problem with a race car when we were down there we had to have it , it was relocated but still in the engine bay, but it was a race car, not a street car

I believe the rule states if you relocate your battery somewhere else in the vehicle or run a 9.99 or quicker it requires a cut off switch.

ya thats what i said the tech guy said if it was moved from the original spot period but i don't know if that rule is gonna apply for this class
unfortuantely the tech was right.. i did just this and they made me add a cutoff swirch... had to drill through my damn bumper.
