i don't know how you guys feel it in the states, but in the UK EG hatch's seem to come with brocken central locking as standard.

my problem - central locking wasn't working. tests proved that the signal was getting there, and the solenoid was trying to move. the passenger door lock machanism was very stiff.

visited my local juk yard and found a 1995 1.5 (d15b2) LSi hatch. identical to mine apart from mine is a 1994 and has no airbags.

i removed the full lock mechanism including interior and exterior door handles, and the central locking relay (green thing) and ALL wiring from the drivers door.

no difference with the new gear, even if the solenoid is removed from the lock mech.

the fuse checks out OK.

HELP !!!!
